Connecting Plants & People

As the 2021 season begins to come to a close, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with you a project that our team worked on heavily this past week in partnership with the Green Cities Foundation.

From the start, Turf Systems has always been about preserving and enhancing green spaces in and around our community with a mission for greener lawns, healthier landscapes, and better environments. Over the past few years, we have been working in project phases with Green Cities Foundation to help them achieve their mission of connecting plants and people for a greener, healthier, urban climate. Over the past few days, our team has worked closely with them on-site in Barton Village performing a daycare renovation for St. Matthews House as well as the City of Hamilton at Woodlawn & Brige Park. Thanks to Plant Products who provided the overseed and fertilizer, we were able to aerate, seed, and fertilize these sites to encourage the development of a greener space in the near future. Creating a space with cleaner air, reducing the effects of climate change, and helping to improve the overall quality of life in these nearby cities.

If you are interested in learning more about these projects you can visit the Green City Foundations website, or follow the trending hashtag #GreenMyCity on social media platforms.
