Quite a drop in temperatures we have experienced this week!
As we continue to witness the weather changing and hear more about the approaching frost & possible future snowfalls we wanted to remind you about the importance of keeping your lawn clear of leaves at this time of year. As they begin to fall off of the surrounding trees it is important to keep them off the lawn as too many can harm the lawn’s ability to breathe and receive the oxygen and sunlight it requires for growth. If the leaves remain on the lawn for too long it will increase the likelihood of brown patches and disease development which in turn will hamper its comeback the following spring. If more than 20% of the lawn is covered it’s time to rake or mulch them up!
